#4 Debuts at Bombay Truck Show

The Bombay Truck Show is an annual event that brings the community together to celebrate trucks while supporting a great cause. This year’s event raised an impressive $120,000 for charity, making it a fantastic day out for all involved.

Making its debut at the show was #4 – the Bonney’s International Transtar 4600. First registered in 1989, the truck was originally driven by Neil Martin, who, along with a privileged few, had the honour of driving it.

Neil, who has been with Bonney’s for nearly 40 years, has over the last seven years, in between, his day job restored #4 to its former glory. The truck was last registered in 2012, and when new was the only 4600 featuring alloy wheels and airbag suspension, with a tare weight of just 9.6 tonnes.

In the late 1990s, the bins were removed, reflecting Bonney's shift into the bulk liquids industry.

Also on display at the show was our Kenworth. While we didn’t take home any silverware, both trucks were crowd favourites, sparking nostalgia among truck enthusiasts young and old.

Overall, it was a fantastic day, showcasing some iconic trucks and highlighting the positive role the road transport industry plays in the community.
